WORLD STARS Aleksandra Kurzak and Roberto Alagna will be singing in the Great Hall! Vienna’s Morphing Chamber Orchestra invites the world-famous opera couple for an extraordinary gala concert.
In the only appearance of the two opera stars in Vienna this year, the French tenor and the Polish soprano will sing of love, transfiguration and jealousy. The 3rdMorphing Night staged by the Vienna based Morphing Chamber Orchestra under the artistic direction of Tomasz Wabnic takes you on an inspired journey through Puccini's Manon Lescaut, Tosca and Madama Butterfly, as well as great moments of verismo. In addition to opera hits such as "Vissi d'arte" and "Vesti la giubba," instrumental classics are also set to delight: the MCO will lend its unique flair to Fauré's Pavane, Massenet's Méditation and other popular melodies.
Dr. Thomas Dänemark, Secretary General of the Friends of the Vienna State Opera, will be the evening’s host. Roberto Alagna and Aleksandra Kurzak have created excitement in countless performances at the Vienna State Opera. With the MCO as their partner, animated musicianship is also guaranteed for on the concert stage - after all, active ensemble playing is the cornerstone of this chamber music orchestra’s philosophy.
Experience Roberto Alagna and Aleksandra Kurzak in Vienna this year! If you love high notes, elegant timbre and delicate pianissimo you’re in for a treat on November 7th – just days before the leading tenor’s 60th birthday.
